In the approved prayer we ask Caroline Chisholm to intercede with Almighty God on our behalf in relation to the “favors” that are sought . . . for ourselves and/or for others. As the Prayer Cards page states, the favors sought “must be for objectively good purposes and ends . . . [and] . . . can be granted only by God, to whom the approved prayer is addressed, and who alone knows what would be providentially best – something which humans cannot know in this life.”

The Friends of Caroline Chisholm have been asked to pray for Joe, a married man in his forties with two children. The requested intention is for remission of his recently- diagnosed aggressive cancer

The Friends are now maintaining a written record of favors received through Caroline Chisholm’s intercession. Brief details of some of these are listed below. The Saint-Making page has relevant information about the necessity for favors to be obtained which satisfy the Church’s criteria for a miracle. Those listed here are low-key, everyday sorts of developments, which were made possible, facilitated, assisted, so the informants advise, by Mrs Chisholm’s intercession.

  • A mother’s request being heard the day after she was given and said the approved prayer, for her daughter had found work
  • A middle-aged worker was chosen, against the odds, for full-time Enrolled Nurse training, and is now helping disturbed families and kids.
  • A restless young man who finally settled down, completed his studies, married and lives happily with his wife and first-born.
  • Fractured family relations that are on the mend.

Please forward advice of favors received to webmaster@mrschisholm.com or mail them to the Friends of Caroline Chisholm, PO Box 232, Wendouree. Victoria. 3355
